WHO WE ARE

Formerly known as the Bonsai Society of Texas, Dallas was a pioneer city for bonsai clubs in the south. Our club was founded in 1965 by George Gray and Arch Hawkins, and was the first of its kind in Texas. Following in the footsteps of our original founders, the Bonsai Society of Dallas would like to welcome all who have an interest in the art of bonsai. We have members of all ages, all skill levels, all walks of life, and are happy to welcome visitors and those curious about tiny trees in pots.

Lectures and demonstrations are geared for both the novice as well as the more experienced enthusiast. We strive to share in this wonderful art form in an open and informal fashion.  Bonsai Society of Dallas or BSD,  has regular monthly meetings, as well as hands on workshops, guest lecturers and demonstrations throughout the year. Our monthly meetings occur (unless otherwise announced) the first Saturday of the month, 9:00 AM to noon at:
North Haven Gardens
7700 Northaven Rd. Dallas, TX 75230
